Today started pretty good. Last nights storm caused damage all around us. It also managed to point out the flaws in the previous ownwers building ability to our partially new property. Within four hours of the storm the conversion garage (into a fourth bedroom) started leaking. A steady stream was coming from the roof down the side of the wall taking dry wall down with it. With this news I've already become pissed off well beyond belief. This tone carried with me towards the insurance adjuster. She decided to school me on the different terms that insurance adjusters use so that there may be loop poles for them to screw over their customers. Such terms as "rain" rather than "storm," or "leak" changed to the more favorable "drip." I love the attitude they give you when they know they've already hooked you in, and there is nothing you can do to remedy the problem. I hate people! |
